Cast speed

Hi guys,
I have a question

This is my build :
Lvl 83
- Wraith 58
- Chaos 66
- Curse 64
- Staff Hit 64
- Spear 44
- Vestment 66

I got curse for the best cast speed but today i saw a character farming with his mage and he was casting spells faster than me, why?
Isn't curse the only way to improve casting speed?
I know that assault decreases casting speed but i thought that was just for the skill that you can learn at higher lvls like 200+ , isn't it?

Any other suggestions for my build?

Assault Skill has two Spells for reduce cast speed. 126 and 172. You can mix Curse with these spells.

There's an assault skill on lvl 126 that reduces casting spells and you can stack it with curse.

Would suggest Wraith/Chaos/Curse/Axe or Spear/Assault/Vestment

Level cap is 150, at level 126 you get Shadow Meld skill and remove Curse, you can replace curse with Avatar.

Staff Hit is useless untill level 250.
Axe is better overall then Spear untill level 210.
