quick launch

looking for a solution to quick launch in the old ao we had a program that would execute the .dat file x amount of times.
when the download link for that program failed I started just renaming the ANGEL.DAT to ANGEL.EXE (this didn't work for me it just named it ANGEL.exe.DAT) I tried allot to execute the DAT file then noticed in notepad it says "This program cannot be run in DOS mode" any help would be great

who knows maybe our awesome new management team can come up with a multilauncher for us? but ill wait till servers are more stable before I make extra requests like that.

the was the "program" I had mentioned but the old forum doesn't have a working download link anymore if you have one that would be fantastic.

You can use AOManager also, which is more GUI friendly as my opinion.

You could use AO MultiClient-Quick Launcher for only launching multiple ao client or personally i prefer AOManager2.0 for a program with an UI and a bit of memory management.

I personally use my own program that not only opens ao clients, but it can also log you into the server and controll the memory of ur clients without you having to manually free it every time u change a map.

If u want the program i can prob share it but use at ur own risk, since to use the auto login feature u need to type ur username and password

I would certainly be willing to give it a look if you want to share a link or something. I was actually considering reaching out to a programmer for exactly this lol.

I would also be interested to see if someone could make a re-connector.
for example:
have it monitor the clients network usage (I would assume it has no downstream when you DC)
change to the window that dced (with a timeout so it cant trigger more then once at a time)
try to relog
if client responds then enable ab again (if it can get this advanced then we would need ab turn on options like turning on auto skill/atk/collect based on acc)
if client does not respond then try relog again after a wait period

I'm not a programmer so this could be way harder then id expect (especially to write for more then just personal use)
